KERNTAKT joins the University of Stuttgart's welcome event for incoming bachelor's and master's students at the Liederhalle. Alongside the welcome program, student organizations are invited to present their work and introduce themselves to new students.

At the KERNTAKT booth, CEO Joshua Matthew Cañete and Hugo Hernier, Stuttgart Branch Coordinator, present a functional prototype of the ADLER system. ADLER is being developed for plug-and-play autonomous drone operations. The prototype is not yet capable of autonomous flight; that capability remains in development. It gives visitors a concrete view of the team's progress toward the final system.

The team is working toward a custom design with ownership of the full hardware and software stack, while using prebuilt components such as motors. The prototype marks a step in that process, with further design and integration work still ahead.

The team also discusses how it uses AI in its engineering work, from software development and research to documentation and parametric CAD. As described in Building with AI, these tools support the development process, while team members remain responsible for engineering decisions, review, and verification.

Throughout the event, the team meets many people interested in KERNTAKT and ADLER. Visitors who want to get involved are encouraged to explore the website and visit the Apply page, where they can contact the team by email with a short note about their background and interests.

KERNTAKT hopes to turn this interest into new team members and increase its capacity to build intelligent systems. The welcome event is an opportunity to connect with students at the beginning of their studies and invite them to contribute to the team's work.
